Each our Special bird eye for taxidermy is made with the highest level of accuracy. The well-defined eye patterns are copied from those of real birds. The Corn Crake model is one of over 200 great reproductions in our enhanced Birds / Special series. The eye features a large round pupil, encompassed with a fuzzy black skirting, and a modulating iris, blending from orange into dark red towards the edge. Our eyes are cast from polyether resins. We use our own patented technology that ensures hardness, chemical stability, and heat resistance. The eyes can be dry-cleaned, treated with organic solvents, and heated to 130 degrees Celsius (about 260 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 20 minutes.
