Phalacrocorax auritus
The eyes for taxidermy in our Special series are made with the ultimate level of accuracy. Their realistic patterns are taken from those of real birds, making these eyes a perfect option for your new creations. Our Double-crested Cormorant is one of many realistic models in our extensive Special line. A small black pupil encompassed by a narrow yellow ring and a modulating aquamarine iris with tiny yellow spots, which is getting darker towards the edge, create an absolutely spectacular look. The eye is cast from polyether resins (similar to acrylic). We use our own patented technology that ensures extreme hardness, chemical stability, and heat resistance. The eyes can be dry-cleaned, treated with most organic solvents, and heated to 130 degrees Celsius (about 260 degrees Fahrenheit) for 20 minutes.
