The realistic color patterns of our Special bird eyes are copied from digital images of real birds. They would become an excellent choice for your new taxidermy mount. The Middle Spotted Woodpecker eye is one of over 200 colorful reproductions in our enhanced Special series. A small black pupil with an obscure skirting and a brown iris getting darker at the edge in this eye create an absolutely fabulous look. Our eyes are made from polyether resins (similar to acrylic) using our own patented technology that ensures extreme hardness, chemical stability, and heat resistance. The eyes can be dry-cleaned, treated with most organic solvents, and heated to 130 degrees Celsius (about 260 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 20 minutes.
