Our manufacturing process allows us to copy iris patterns directly from real bird photos. The result is true colors and a level of detail you never saw before in taxidermy eyes.
The eyes are made of polymer resins (very similar to acrylic eyes). They are chemically stable and can be treated with most organic solvents such as mineral spirits (DO NOT USE ACETONE). If you need to scrape clay or glue off the eye, use a wooden stick just like you would on glass eyes for taxidermy.
The back side of the eye features a ribbed plastic stem that makes it easier to insert and position the eye on a mount.
